Jeffrey S. Hardy, President
Jeff Hardy is the president and founder of TOPS Software. The company was formed in 1985 to sell TOPS property management software to management companies and self-managed communities around the country.
After seven years working as an accountant for two fortune five hundred companies, and serving as an officer in his own homeowners association, Jeff Hardy started a property management business. Within two years his management company had grown to the point where he needed to computerize--but there was no software for the Condo/HOA industry at that time. This was 1979--two years before IBM released the first Personal Computer (PC) and there were not a lot of choices in micro computers either. |
So, Jeff began to write the programs that later became TOPS, working with a neighbor who was also a programmer. Today, 212 Software offers a robust line of property management software products, all based on the original vision from 1979. Jeff's background in accounting and property management is definitely one of the reasons for the popularity of our software and our growth. It was his knowledge of the industry that allowed him to develop a software package that exactly fits the needs of this industry.

Ryan Allen, Vice President of Technical Service |
Ryan Allen is probably the most diverse employee at 212 Software, having worked his way through nearly every position in the company. Ryan received his BBA Accounting from Radford University. He began working for TOPS in 1998, when he was hired to provide technical support services to our customers.
Ryan's technical understanding of the software and skills with the customers led him into the conversions business, where he wrote programs to convert customer data from one software version to another. Shortly thereafter, Ryan dipped even further into the programming pool by designing interfaces for the software and developing a series of utilities. Ryan's knowledge of our software products next led him to the sales department, where he acted as a technical consultant to prospective purchasers.
When a need arose for a person to manage the technical support department, Ryan returned to support. As a manager, Ryan's knowledge and abilities flourished, and he brought the department to an unprecedented level of success, establishing a reputation for an outstanding level of support.
Today, Ryan is the youngest member of our executive team, having achieved the position of Vice President of Product Development. In that role, Ryan is responsible for overseeing the development team, and shaping the future software products of 212 Software.
