CAI Fall National Conference
As Fall is trade show season, I have been attending a number of trade
shows. One show of note was the CAI Fall Conference held in Orlando, FL
on October 24 through 26, 2002. TOPS Software had a prime booth location,
which allowed us to speak to a number of current and potential clients.
Besides myself, Ryan Allen, Carmen Wood, and Jeff Hardy, the president
of TOPS Software, manned the booth. We were helped by TOPS dealers Omah
Padron, Kim Forman, and Mike Furnia.
Thursday night, TOPS hosted an affair at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant.
We had about 30 attendees, and everyone enjoyed the great food and company.
Perhaps the most exciting part of the show was a panel discussion that
I participated in along with Susan Sanders (AtHomeNet), Cathy Beaulne
(Seabrook POA), and William Owens (William Owens & Co.). The topic
of the presentation was "Getting the Most Out of Current Technology
and The Future of Property Management." The presentation went well,
and was followed by many questions from the audience.
We are currently submitting "calls for presentations" to local
CAI chapters throughout the country– please contact me via email
at bruceg@topssoft.com, if you
are interested in this presentation for your chapter.
The winner of our Palm Pilot giveaway was Donna Seidenburg, CPA (Millward
& Co.). The two winners of a $200 gift certificate good toward our
corporate training facility were Kevin Oliver (IMPAC) and Sue Carpenter
(Community Management Professionals). Congratulations!
Since we are about to head into the busy season for community associations
and busy social calendars, all of us at TOPS Software wish you a happy,
healthy, safe holiday season!
