September Class Schedule:

NCS - 101 New Community Setup

This course will cover the steps necessary to successfully set up a new community in TOPS Professional™ . In addition we will highlight items that you should consider when setting up a community. We will take a stroll through the New Community Setup Wizard to initialize the basic community. Then we will walk through the process of setting up homeowners, loading balances for homeowners, and loading General Ledger beginning balances. We will also review the process steps of validating the numbers between TOPS and the system one would be moving from. We will talk about time savings tips for management companies using a template community approach. Our class will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM EDT.

 

BSA - 101 Basic Accounting

This course will discuss how basic accounting procedures are used in TOPS vTOPS Professional™. We will discuss the two accounting methods: cash and accrual accounting, the different types of accounts: assets, liabilities and equity, and the typical account balances: debits and credits. Our class will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM EDT.

 

CAL-101 Calendar Overview

In this course we will cover the basic functionality of the Calendar module and its integration with Job Stream and other TOPS Professional™ modules. Our class will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM EDT.

 

MM-101 Mobile Manager

With the TOPS Mobile Manager interface, you and your staff can roam your communities without the need for bulky clipboards and printed reports. Instead of writing notes, and spending costly hours entering new data into TOPS, you can enter that data directly into your PDA or touch screen smart phone while you are on site, then simply sync the data from the device to your TOPS program and viola! It's all there. Our class will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM EDT.

 

ADM-101 User Security

You can take control of your TOPS Professional™ program by defining specific security rights for your staff members. This course will help you understand the basics of the security module in TOPS Professional™. It will also help you understand the steps necessary to define and implement user level security and modules which require user IDs to function properly. At the end of this course you will know how to set up security groups and users, including assigning communities, modules, and menu options to users. Our class will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 2:00 PM EDT.

 

ACCNT-400 Reconciling the Sub Ledgers

This course will cover the steps needed to reconcile the AP and AR Sub-Ledgers to the GL. At the end of the course you should have an understanding of how to make sure that your financials are accurate. Our class will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM EDT.

 

ACCNT-401 Customizing Financials

The objective of this class is to teach the steps necessary to edit your existing financial statements to obtain the layout that will most effectively present a community's financial position. We will also cover how to create new custom schedules to support your basic financial statements. Our class will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM EDT.

 

NF-101 New Features

At TOPS we continue to enhance our software with new features that are time saving tools for our customers. Most of these features are free upgrade features that you would have received with your update download. This class will cover the new features that have been incorporated into the software during 2008-2009. Join us and see what is new and how these new features can help your company and staff be more efficient. Our class will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM EDT.
